Donald Walker

Donald Walker is respected as a Fitness Expert, Educator, and Head Coach. He has been recognized as producing results over his 15-year career. Coach Walker led 9th graders to win the DISD District Basketball Championship during his tenure at Wilmer Hutchins High School. Their record was 19-2. As Head Coach of the Varsity Boys Basketball, they reached the Bi-District Playoffs back to back.He led 7th and 8th grade boys to win separate Basketball Crowley ISD District Championships after having respective records of 11-1 and 9-3.  Coach Walker was also the Assistant Football and Track & Field Coach at Crowley Middle School. The 7th graders were runner-ups at 8-2 history in football that year.


All of his experience with training, tournaments, equipment, monitoring students’ academic success, maintaining uplifting classroom and practice environments contributed to him being voted as Coach of the Year for the Dallas Independent School District. DISD is the second largest school district in the U.S. with 160,000 students and $1.4 billion budget. Donald Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas College, an Associates degree from Lurleen B. Wallace College, and is presently pursuing a Master of Coaching degree from Concordia University.

Nishia Walker

Nishia Walker is respected as administrative, coaching and teaching experiences were gained from holding roles as Departmental Chair, Athletic Coordinator, Head Basketball Coach, Head Volleyball Coach, Head Tennis Coach, Assistant Track & Field Coach, Defense Basketball Coach, and Women’s College Basketball Recruiter.Almost 20 students from the FWISD athletic program have been awarded scholarships to attend Texas Christian University, Sam Houston University, Southern University, Jarvis College, Texas College, Prairie View A&M, Texas Wesleyan, Weatherford College, and Hill Junior College.


Prior to contributing to the success of the $835.8 million Fort Worth ISD (86,000 students) between 2002 and 2008, Nishia Walker worked as an Assistant Basketball Coach for Murray State College and Texas Wesleyan University. She was Basketball Recruiter at Southwestern Christian College. Coach Walker also fulfilled Head Coaching duties at Coldspring – Oakhurst ISD. Nishia Walker holds a Master of Coaching & Athletic Administration degree from Concordia University, an Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas College, an Associates degree from Southwestern Christian College.
